In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the formal statement, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.

The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Material

Players who finish the quest will acquire an unique katana together with numerous items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Latest Free Story Update

This update also adds the game's third complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature abilities: Naoe introduces a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
