The Streaming Giant Selects Perfect Performer for Bentham in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is poised to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.
Netflix announced Tuesday that the talented performer has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a interpretation of that role reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the initial comic and cartoon version.
The new cast member will work alongside several other fresh additions who will portray Baroque Works to life, including head the main antagonist, portrayed by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the ensemble as the monarch of Alabasta.
Although Bon Clay is a important part of the organization, the character won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Given the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this signals a notable change in the placement of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the narrative framework.
